Recommended Nissan Pathfinder Battery Type

A Nissan Pathfinder typically requires a 12.6-volt car battery. The specific battery group size and specifications can vary depending on the model year and engine type of the Pathfinder. For most recent Nissan Pathfinder models, the recommended battery group sizes are 24F or 35. Here are some general details:

  • Battery Group Size: 24F or 35
  • Cold Cranking Amps (CCA): At least 600 CCA is recommended, but this can vary based on climate and usage.
  • Battery Type: Standard flooded lead-acid or AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat)

Check your Pathfinder owner’s manual or consult with a pro at Ed Hicks Nissan to ensure you get the correct battery for your specific model, driving style, and driving conditions. Visit our dealership for battery testing and replacement to ensure your Nissan Pathfinder battery remains reliable and ready for the season ahead.

Recommended Nissan Pathfinder Oil Type

Nissan recommends Genuine Nissan Motor Oil 0W-20 as the Nissan Pathfinder oil type, which is the factory fill for most models.

  • 2022 Pathfinder models or newer should use full synthetic 0W-20 motor oil
  • 2013-2020 Pathfinder models can use full synthetic motor 0W-20 or 5W-30 motor oil depending on the engine
  • 2012 Pathfinders or older should use full synthetic 5W-30 motor oil

You’ll only find OEM-approved Pathfinder oil at Ed Hicks Nissan in Corpus Christi.

It’s generally recommended to change your Pathfinder engine oil every 5,000 miles or every six months of driving. Oil changes are one of our Express Services here at Ed Hicks Nissan – no appointment is needed to get your Pathfinder oil changed!

Recommended Nissan Pathfinder Tire Size

Your Nissan Pathfinder tire size will depend on the trim and year model. Also, did you purchase it from a dealership or from an individual? Is it new or used?

The Nissan Pathfinder can come with a range of original equipment tire sizes: 235/65R18 tires, 255/60R18 tires, and 255/50R20 tires.

Check the sidewall of your Nissan Pathfinder for the current tire size and ask your Ed Hicks Nissan service advisor for the best tire size for your model and trim.

Our knowledgeable Nissan service advisors are here to guide you. The warm, humid weather in Corpus Christi may cause more wear and tear on all sorts of parts inside your Pathfinder.

By following the recommended maintenance schedule and your Nissan service advisor’s advice, you can help keep your Nissan Pathfinder running well for years to come. Schedule your Nissan Pathfinder service appointment in Corpus Christi today. Or, check out our inventory of new Nissan Pathfinder SUVs if you’re ready for an upgrade!
